Xie Fuzhan, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). He successively served as Vice President of the Development Research Center of the State Council, Commissioner of the National Bureau of Statistics of China, Minister of the Research Office of the State Council, Governor of the People's Government of Henan Province, Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Henan Provincial Committee and President of CASS. He was a member of the 18th and 19th CPC Central Committee, member of Standing Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Vice Chairman of the Committee of Economic Affairs.
