​China Institute, University of Alberta (Canada)

Established in 2005, the China Institute at the University of Alberta (CIUA) is a multi-disciplinary think tank and research center focusing solely on China studies. The CIUA strives to generate and disseminate knowledge that supports in-depth understanding of today's China and encourages policy development in response to China's evolving role in the world. Through a wide range of public forums, research seminars, publications, training and media commentaries, the CIUA has emerged as a voice of authority in Canada on political and economic developments inside China and on its foreign policy and its international economic ties, especially in relation to Canada.
