The Chinese Culture Research Institute, Beijing Language and Culture University

The Chinese Culture Research Institute of Beijing Language and Culture University was independently established in March 2018. The research institute deeply cultivates research on Chinese and foreign literature and culture, constructs a system for the inheritance and dissemination of excellent Chinese culture, serves major national strategic needs, and cultivates talents who integrate Chinese and foreign cultures. 

The institute includes the Beijing Capital International Cultural Research Base, the Guangming Literature Heritage Research Institute, the Confucius and Confucianism Culture Research Institute, the Sinology and Chinese Studies Research Institute, the Chinese Culture Innovation Interpretation and International Education Research Center, and the Mei Lanfang Art Inheritance and Communication Center. It also houses the editorial offices of "Chinese Culture Research" and "Research on Sinology". 

The research institute currently has five master's degrees in Ancient Chinese literature, Comparative Literature and World Literature, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Literature and Art, and Curriculum and Teaching Theory; and five doctoral programs, namely, Ancient Chinese Literature, Comparative Literature and World Literature, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Literature and Art, and International Education of Chinese Language.
